Where learning opens doors.
HOLKS provides quality, affordable education from primary through secondary level — while making room for children and families who need additional support.
Serving the community since 2005.
Founded in 2005, HOLKS is a privately managed educational institution built around a simple belief: a child's education should not be decided by the family's income.
For more than 20 years, the institution has worked to keep education accessible while maintaining the quality needed for meaningful learning. We have also supported children who cannot afford tuition and made our space available after school hours for teachers and community learning.
Our goal is to protect access to quality education while supporting the teachers, students and resources that make education possible.
Education with dignity, ambition and purpose.
HOLKS — House of Learning & Knowledge for Students — serves children in a community where many families face financial pressure. Since 2005, we have worked to make quality education more accessible without compromising academic standards.
Accessible
We work to keep education within reach for families who may struggle with conventional school fees.
Quality-focused
Affordable education should not mean lowering standards. We remain committed to strong learning foundations.
Community-minded
Our facilities and resources are also used to create opportunities for educators outside school hours.
Strong foundations for the future.
HOLKS provides education from primary through secondary level, with an emphasis on understanding, confidence and lifelong learning.
- Strong foundations in core subjects
- Encouragement of curiosity and questions
- Problem-solving and independent thinking
- Positive study habits and discipline
- Preparation for future academic opportunities
Keeping education within reach.
For many families, the question is not whether education matters. It is whether they can afford it — especially as the cost of running a quality institution continues to rise.
For more than two decades, HOLKS has tried to bridge that gap. But rising costs are making the mission increasingly difficult to sustain without additional support.
Why support matters now
Inflation has increased the cost of teacher salaries, books, stationery, utilities, maintenance, technology and everyday operations. At the same time, substantially increasing fees would put greater pressure on the families we exist to serve.
The challenge: maintaining educational quality while keeping the doors open to children who need affordable education.
Supporting educators strengthens education.
Teachers have financial and professional needs of their own. HOLKS makes available school space accessible to teachers after regular school hours, without charging them for the use of the space.
- Coaching and tutoring
- Additional educational classes
- Learning online and digital skills
- Developing additional income opportunities
Toward education without barriers.
Our long-term vision is to grow HOLKS into an institution where disadvantaged children can receive free quality education in the morning, while girls and women can access free, practical skill development in the evening.
Free education for children
As support grows, we want to move toward covering the full educational cost of children from disadvantaged families — including fees, books, stationery, uniforms and essential learning needs.
Skills for girls & women
We aim to use the school in the evening for free skill-development opportunities that can help girls and women learn practical, income-generating skills and move toward financial independence.
A stronger community
By combining education, teacher support and practical skills, we hope to create opportunities that benefit children, families and the wider community for years to come.
Help us build the future.
We want to build toward a future where donations can cover the cost of a child's education — including fees, books and stationery — while also helping HOLKS maintain the people and resources needed to provide quality education. Support can also help us expand the project, provide uniforms, strengthen teacher pay, and equip our evening skill-development program with computers and other resources.
Help us build education without barriers.
Support can be directed toward a child's education or toward the wider project — uniforms, books, stationery, teacher support, computers, expansion and other practical needs. Contributions do not have to be financial; resources, equipment, professional services and long-term partnerships can also make a difference.
